Annie Antar, MD, PhD Assistant Professor of Medicine
Dr. Antar is a physician-scientist investigating long COVID and persistent reservoirs in people living with HIV. She graduated magna cum laude from Harvard College with a degree in chemistry and subsequently earned a combined MD-PhD degree from Vanderbilt University, where her graduate research in reovirus pathogenesis was mentored by Dr. Terry Dermody. She completed internal medicine residency and infectious diseases fellowship at Johns Hopkins and then joined the Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine’s Division of Infectious Diseases as a faculty member in 2019. Outside of work, she loves spending time with her family, cooking/baking, and staying active.
