Chloe Thio, MD Professor of Medicine

Chloe Thio is a Professor of Medicine in the Division of Infectious Diseases. She has joint appointments in Molecular Microbiology and Immunology and in Pathobiology. Dr. Thio earned her M.D. from Yale University School of Medicine, completed Internal Medicine residency at The Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania in Philadelphia, and completed Infectious Diseases Fellowship training at Johns Hopkins University. Her research areas include HBV and HCV in people with HIV, translational HBV immunology and virology focused on HBV cure, hepatitis D virus, and steatotic liver disease in people with HIV. Her research is supported by numerous NIH grants. She has an active clinical practice seeing patients with HIV and viral hepatitis. Dr. Thio can be contacted at [email protected].
